Desi Month Date Today – What Is Today’s Desi Date?
Looking for the desi month date today? The widget above shows today’s desi (Bikrami) date, the Islamic Hijri date in Pakistan and the English date, updated automatically every day in Pakistan time. Below you will find all 12 desi months with their dates.
The desi date is the Bikrami (Vikram Samvat) solar date used by farmers in Punjab and across Pakistan. Each desi month starts when the sun enters a new zodiac sign, around the 13th to 16th of the English month, so the month names always match the same weather and crops. The box above shows today’s desi date, today’s Islamic date in Pakistan (chand ki tarikh) and the English date together.
Pakistan’s Islamic month begins after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announces the moon sighting, so it is often one day behind Saudi Arabia. The Islamic date also changes at sunset (Maghrib), not at midnight. This page follows Pakistan’s announced month start.
