The Punjab Government launched Phase IV of the CM Punjab Green Tractor Scheme on 24 September 2026. In this phase 10,000 tractors of 50–65 HP will be given with a subsidy of Rs. 750,000 each through digital balloting. Applications are also open for Phase V, which offers 9,500 tractors of 75–125 HP with a subsidy of Rs. 1 million each. So far about 24,000 tractors have been distributed under the scheme. What Is the Green Tractor Scheme?
The Green Tractor Scheme is a Punjab Government programme started by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to help small and medium farmers buy new locally made tractors at a lower price. The government pays part of the price as a subsidy and tractors are given through a transparent computerised ballot. The Punjab government has allocated Rs. 17.6 billion for the scheme, and about 24,000 tractors have been delivered so far.

Green Tractor Scheme Eligibility
- Farmer must be a resident of Punjab with a valid CNIC.
- Land ownership is verified through the Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) and NADRA.
- A Kissan Card holder can apply; one tractor per family.
- Only tractors of approved local manufacturers (Millat/Massey Ferguson, Al-Ghazi/New Holland, Buraq, Bull Power) are included.
How to Apply for the Green Tractor Scheme
- Apply through the official Punjab Agriculture Department online portal or the method announced in the official advertisement.
- Enter your CNIC, mobile number registered in your name and land details.
- Wait for verification by PLRA and NADRA.
- Successful applicants are selected through a computerised ballot and informed by SMS.
- After selection, pay your share of the price to the company and collect the tractor from the authorised dealer.
