The CM Punjab Wheat Support Program 2026-27 helps farmers grow more wheat in the Rabi season with a higher wheat price, extra interest-free DAP loans on the Kissan Card and subsidised certified seed. On 23 October 2026 Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with the Punjab and Sindh chief ministers, set the wheat support price at Rs. 4,500 per 40kg for the 2027 crop – Rs. 1,000 more than the Rs. 3,500 rate of the 2026 harvest.

Wheat Support Price 2026-27: Rs. 4,500 per 40kg
The new wheat support price of Rs. 4,500 per maund (Rs. 112.5 per kg) applies to the crop that farmers are sowing now and will harvest in April–May 2027. The government says the higher rate is meant to cover rising fuel, fertiliser and other production costs, encourage more sowing and cut wheat imports. Kissan Card DAP Loan for Wheat Farmers
Kissan Card holders get an extra Rs. 3,500 per acre interest-free to buy DAP fertiliser for wheat. This raises the card limit from Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 33,500 per acre. Rs. 17 billion has been set aside for more than 1 million small farmers. Farmers who have not repaid last season’s Kissan Card loan should clear it first, as new limits are linked to repayment. Subsidised Certified Wheat Seed
Punjab Seed Corporation is selling certified wheat seed at Rs. 7,000 per bag after an Rs. 800 per-bag subsidy (Rs. 320 million in total). Buy from PSC sales points or registered dealers while stock lasts. In irrigated areas use about 40–45 kg seed per acre.
Machinery Support: Tractors and Super Seeders
- Green Tractor Scheme – Phase IV (10,000 tractors, Rs. 750,000 subsidy each) and Phase V high-power tractors (9,500 tractors, Rs. 1 million subsidy each).
- Super seeders – sowing wheat directly into rice stubble without burning, which also helps reduce smog.
- Apply online on the official Punjab portal or through your district agriculture extension office.

- Wheat growers in Punjab with a valid CNIC and land record (owner or registered tenant).
- DAP loan: active Kissan Card holders (small farmers).
- Green tractor: at least 7 acres of owned land (high-power phase).
