Green Tractor Scheme of Punjab
Amid rising prices of tractors, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s government took an initiative. Supporting small holders Green Tractor Scheme came with significant incentives. It provides a subsidy of Rs. 10 lakh on domestically assembled tractors, including Millat Tractors, Massey Ferguson, and Al-Ghazi Tractors.
In the first phase, 9,500 tractors will be allocated through a transparent ballot in March 2025. Farmers will be able to choose between 50 HP to 85 HP tractors which is the popular range of balans with top-selling models MF 240, MF 260, and MF 385. This initiative was designed to aid modern farm mechanization in Pakistan.
